HAVE A HEART
We had fun creating this sculpture for "Oz Park," located in a shopping center. This tin man has a fused glass heart and bow tie, sand-blasted wood graining on the axe handle and is topped with a smoking hat! Take note of this modern and creative interpretation of a beloved literary character.
THIS IS A GREAT PLACE FOR YOUR TAGLINE.
PROVISION
Sondra and her team can design and create sculptures to fit custom spaces and specialized themes. These peepers made a bold statement in this optometrist's office.
TURKEY TROT
This collection of sculptures was built with multiple layers of aluminum and kiln-formed glass. Various techniques of grinding patterns were utilized, along with sandblasting to create the illusion
of feathers and fur on the surface of the metal. Layers of ground and cut glass were added to an iridized base glass, then fired together to create the colored areas of interest.
RIPPLE EFFECT
A contemporary living space was the perfect fit for these pieces. This triptych is comprised of sculptures with multiple layers of polished aluminum, the background layer being hand painted in a mixture of translucent colors, allowing the texture of the metal to show through the paint.
THE GIVING TREE
Habitat for Humanity in greater Los Angeles, California commissioned several donor recognition sculptures. Each tree boldly displays the corporate names of donors for several communities of new homes. Parks in the new neighborhoods are now home to the installations. Powder coated aluminum gives the visual appearance of copper and copper verdigris.
POPS OF COLOR
This customer was seeking immediate privacy from an adjacent property, but did not own the fence. The sculptures are attached to "invisible" frames, appearing to hang on the fence. A beautiful solution!
FOLLOW THE LEADER
Multiple layers of aluminum and glass combine to create this pheasant hunting scene. Textures were ground into the surface of the metals with a grinder, drill and sandblaster. Cut and ground glass were stacked and kiln-fused together for the pheasant.
UNWIND
This figurative sculpture depicting
a fly fisherman is surrounded by
glass and aluminum cattails,
catching a colorful kiln-formed
glass trout. The installation
portrays the sportsman wading through water and rock.
ASIAN GARDEN
This customer's garden has a very "Zen" feeling and they desired pieces to reflect an Asian influence. The two welded stands hold large circular, kiln formed "irid" glass with a metallic look, but maintain transparency to allow light
to shine through.
SUSHI BAR
This aluminum and glass combo was customized to fit an outdoor kitchen bar. The result was perfect piece for this outdoor space, with cool blues like that of the swimming pool alongside the kitchen area. The fish shapes were inspired by the customer's love for their fish ponds in the gardens.
ROOTED IN JOY
This stunning 10' joyful tree is made of four sections of polished aluminum trunk and tree branches that converge in the center. Laser cut, colored acrylic leaves glow in ultraviolet light during the day and incandescent light by night.
CALLA LILY VINE
This piece elegantly combines aluminum
and glass. Partially sculpted on site to perfectly fit the space, it meanders around the light fixture.
Starting from the upper floor, this
sculpture guides the viewer all the
way to the lower level.
UPSCALED FAMILY CIRCLE
The CEO of a local non-profit requested an upscaled version of Sondra's "Family Circle" table top sculpture for their newly remodeled building, in place of a donor wall. Bent, welded and polished aluminum make up the figures. Glass tiles create the floor of the pedestal with reproduced artwork painted and drawn by the organization's young clients. A giant kiln-formed glass heart was made with layers of crushed glass.
EVERY WHICH WAY
This multilayered aluminum, copper & glass sculpture was inspired by the interior designer's choice of colors and fabrics for this office space. The
sculpture represents the "Head Hunter" nature of the firm, seeking company executives for its clients. Sondra incorporated the symbolism of arrows pointing in all directions to reflect corporate movement.
PRIVATE WOODS
This client desired privacy as well as visual space, while maintaining a beautiful view from the kitchen window. These aluminum "Private Woods" panels did just the trick and will last for many years outdoors.
KOI POND
This multilayered aluminum & glass sculpture was fashioned and molded around the corner of a pool house, viewable from many angles. Perfectly customizing art for each space and customer is what we love!
GARDEN SCULPTURES
Sondra and her team have created many beautiful sculptural structures for public and private gardens. Displayed here are a series of coordinating pieces that were made of copper and aluminum.
